Diaspora Journeys Travel LLC
Effective Date: July 1, 2026 | Last Updated: July 19, 2026
Introduction
Diaspora Journeys Travel LLC ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal information we collect through diasporajourneys.us and our services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to plan and book your travel and to communicate with you. This includes contact information such as your name, email, phone number, and mailing address. We collect traveler details including names as shown on government IDs, dates of birth, gender as required by carriers, nationality, and travel preferences. When a booking requires them, we collect travel-document information such as passport numbers, visa details, and similar identifiers. We collect payment information, including billing and card details you provide to complete a booking. When we book on your behalf, this includes a credit-card authorization form containing your card details; when you book directly through the online booking engine on our website, your card details are handled by the booking-engine provider (GTT Global) and its payment processor. We use payment information only to complete your booking and take reasonable steps to protect it. Additionally, we collect community and program information submitted through ambassador, partnership, or inquiry forms, as well as basic website usage data such as IP addresses, browser types, and pages viewed through standard web tools.

2. How We Collect Your Information
We collect information directly from you by phone, email, in person, or through forms on our website that are delivered to us using services such as FormSubmit. Information is collected through our trip-planning and proposal platform, Travefy, when you interact with itineraries or proposals. We also collect information through the online booking engine on our website, provided by GTT Global, when you choose to book directly, as well as automatically through cookies and analytics tools on our website.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to plan, quote, book, and manage your travel, as well as to communicate with you about your trips, inquiries, and requests. Your information is transmitted to the Suppliers fulfilling your booking. Where permitted, we use your details to send you updates, offers, or community program information, from which you can opt out at any time. Additionally, we use this information to operate, secure, and improve our website, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as needed to deliver our services. This includes sharing with Travel Suppliers—such as airlines, our air-ticketing partner GTT Global (including its online booking engine and payment processor), hotels, tour operators, and insurers—so they can fulfill your booking. We share information with service providers that help us operate, such as SiteGround for website hosting, FormSubmit for form delivery, and Travefy for trip-planning tools. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights, safety, or property. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share sensitive information, such as passport or date-of-birth details, for advertising purposes.

5. Sensitive Information
Booking travel sometimes requires sensitive details like passport numbers and dates of birth. We collect these details only when a booking needs them, share them only with the Supplier(s) fulfilling that booking, and take reasonable steps to protect them. We ask that you send such details securely and avoid sending full passport numbers by unencrypted email when possible.

6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand traffic and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect some site features.

7. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, and meet legal obligations, after which it is disposed of securely.

9. Your Choices & Rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us directly. You may ask us to view, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law or that Suppliers require to maintain your bookings. Depending on your state of residence (for example, Minnesota, California, or others with privacy laws), you may have additional rights. As a small business, we may be exempt from some of these laws, but we honor reasonable access, correction, deletion, and opt-out requests as a matter of good practice. This good-practice approach fits a small agency; however, if your business grows past small-business thresholds—or you begin large-scale data handling—revisit this section with an attorney, as Minnesota's MCDPA and other state laws may then apply in full. To exercise any right, contact us using our contact details.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information except for the travel details a parent or guardian provides to book a child's trip. If you believe we have collected a child's information improperly, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Websites
Our website and proposals may link to Supplier or partner sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

12. International Travelers
Because we serve diaspora communities and arrange international travel, your information may be transferred to and processed by Suppliers located outside the United States in order to fulfill your booking. By booking international travel, you consent to this transfer for that purpose.

13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at diasporajourneys.us with its effective date.
